Information You Provide
When you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or leave a comment, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, and message content. We store a cryptographic hash of your IP address for security and anti-abuse purposes — we do not store your raw IP address.
Automatically Collected Information
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
We log visits from AI crawlers (such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot) to understand how AI systems interact with our content. This logging captures the bot name, page visited, and timestamp — no personal data is collected from these visits.

Essential Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication sessions (admin only), CSRF protection, and basic site functionality. These cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the site to function.
Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique users and throttle request rates. These are only loaded after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner.
Advertising Cookies

6. Your Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
7. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscriber data: retained until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days
- Contact form submissions: retained for 1 year, then deleted
- Comments: retained indefinitely while approved; deleted comments are purged within 30 days
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics default retention settings (14 months)
- Security logs: retained for 90 days
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, rate limiting, input validation, and regular security audits. For details, see our security page.
9. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
